May-June Fish Pics

Haven't made a post in a while, but here are some photos of fish I have caught recently...
Stocked Rainbow on a KVD 1.0, the fish was washed about 10 miles into the North Fork of the Rivanna from a stocked trout stream (swift run)
 24" Largemouth on the Spro 6" BBZ-1
18" Smallmouth from the North Fork of the Rivanna
Nice Largemouth from the North Fork of the Rivanna on a senko
22" Largemouth Pitching a Culprit Incredicraw
 Can't explain this one...
Managed to bring home a couple mahis on an offshore trip out of Oregon Inlet
Solid holdover rainbow caught on an egg pattern that I tied...Been a while since I broke out the fly gear!
Two nice keeper flounder I caught at Lynhaven Inlet, one ate a rapala crankin rap (7-8' diving cranbait) which was very surprising.
This pigfish wanted a piece of my crankbait

Another lost trout on the north fork of the Rivanna, this was a 12" wild brook trout that traveled around 15 miles from the Shenendoah National Park during a flood, I ended up catching it on a senko while smallmouth fishing.

Nice pics, that's incredible that you caught a native that had washed down that far! In college I caught a stocked rainbow way down the rivanna, not too far outside Charlottesville and I was very surprised it had traveled that far. Hit a crawfish crankbait.

I know someone who caught a 19" rainbow this spring in the South Fork of the Rivanna not too far below the bridge on 29. It's amazing that they can come down all the way from the Moormans, through the reservoir, and over the dam without dying!
